Over and Out

I don't have much else right now. My words are not good.

Lots going on, just no time or energy to share it. I am sure you understand.

Tractor Rides and Flying Kites

The kids and I spent Easter with my family in MN. It was a gorgeous day, and we played outside. Papa was giving tractor rides, and we got out a kite to fly.

Avery was too cool for school to take a picture with her mom. She's 3.

Gavin though, is my little man.

Papa with 5 out of 6 grandkids.

Avery running in circles with the kite, and baby Beah loving it!

Bridal Shower and Champagne Bar

On Saturday, my mom and I hosted a bridal shower for my cousin John's fiance Courtney. We all love her and are excited for her to officially join the family.

We had a champagne bar and some light food for the festivities as we played some silly games and visited.

The champagne bar was a huge hit. We had juice, fruit puree, fruit garnish and Chambord. Chambord and Champagne {Kir Royale} is one of my favorite fancy cocktails, and I enjoyed sharing the secret with my family.

The food was delish, and we can thank my mama for that.

Girlfriend knows how to entertain.

Ham and roast beef sandwiches, chicken skewers, broccoli salad, fruit cups, and cheesecake or brownies for dessert.

How do you entertain? Cater or slave away in the kitchen?

TGIF

The kids and I are off to MN this weekend to celebrate a bridal shower for my cousin and his fabulous fiance, and to have some much needed, quality girl time.

First, where did our baby go? He has turned into a toddler!

These 2 crack me up, and we could not have imagined how well Avery would do as Big Sister. She is amazing.

Oh this kid...he has me wrapped around his little fingers.

TGIF!

It's been a hot minute...

So March was busy for us...hence no new post in over a month. We went on vacation {more on that later}, were deeply invested in cheering on our beloved Cyclones in March Madness, and loving on our babies.

Quick Recap:
Tony and I flew to Montego Bay Jamaica for 3 days and stayed at this resort near the Airport. It was perfect to get our vacation started.

Then we went back to the airport to catch a shuttle to the Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios:

Where we met some friends who joined us...

The Cyclones won the Big 12 Tourney while we were down there, so each day we had an itinerary that revolved around the games. The first 2 games were on our kindle, and game cast because ESPN in the Caribbean is heavily involved in Cricket, so it didn't air until the title game on Saturday night. We found a TV that would air the game and ran into some more Cyclone fans from Ames and we watched together. We probably ran into a dozen or so Cyclone fans at the Sandals Resort, and many people from Iowa in general.

More later....
