Blue Skies & Sun!

After what seemed like a full week of dreary cold and rainy weather, we finally have something to celebrate! It is gorgeous outside. I've taken back up walking in the mornings.

I love where we live, and that there is a perfect 2 mile route that I can take and it doesn't feel like I am walking in suburbia in front of house after house. We have a lot of green space and parks, with a small stream too, so that is much more preferable to me.

In a small change from my normal duties in my day job, I am working on a remodel project, rather than straight new construction. This is the before...

And this is the "in-process". It's coming together beautifully, and I am excited to see this project take shape. I've asked the client to send me photos once she gets it furnished and styled. I only take it to completion, and not any further than that sadly. #CareerGoals

In other Interior Design News - I've made a master wish list for our own home, and the first page is all projects that need to be finished before I start anything new. I have hardware for our bar that has been sitting in a drawer for over a year now. Time to get that installed.

The guest room still does not have any wall art up. Most of it is framed, and ready to go, but not hung.

I just need the motivation. It's been a bit lacking lately. I'm tired too, so there's that.  Cobblers' Children Syndrome is real in regards to an Interior Designers own home. I also tend to get distracted by books, so rather than working on our home, I just curl up and read. It ebbs and flows.

Anyways, I am rambling now, so time to wrap it up! How about I ask what you are working on? House projects? Landscaping now that it's nice out? Nothing, and just reading books?
