Fab Fit Fun!

Fab Fit Fun is my new Birchbox and Ipsy. I cancelled my subscription to the smaller monthly boxes, and switched to the Fab Fit Fun that comes each season. I get full size items, and after my 3rd box, I can say that I am really happy with the switch. I have gotten some really great items, and this spring box was fantastic!

I love this brand of skin care. I have gotten some nice samples from Birchbox, and this is a product I really love. Retail price for this full size is $79, so that easily is a fantastic deal when the box itself is $50 for everything!

The boho roundie is such a cute accessory to take to the beach, pool, picnic, or to lay across your sofa or bed.

These vitamins taste amazing!

The lip color is fantastic.

This bracelet !

SLAY ALL DAY tote from Milly. I'm in love.

Try this link to sign up {I'll get a small credit towards my next box, and you should too!}

These are a few of my favorite things...KATE SPADE Edition

I always get asked about my wallet. I had been hunting it down for almost a year when I saw it on the Kate Spade Surprise sale. It was marked down to less than half the cost and I have not regretted it once.  Mine is Kelly Green, but this is the same style in different colors.

I love that I can fit all my cards, rewards cards, gift cards, receipts, etc. It opens up flat, and I can also use it as a clutch. I love it.

I don't really need a new purse, but I would love this one. The color is classic, yet light for spring, and the structured shape and interior organization would help me keep my purse and it's contents under control, or at least the illusion of it under control.

Ladies Cyclone Gear

How cute are these Tailgate brand items from American Eagle? Tailgate is an Iowa based brand of collegiate gear that is vintage inspired. It checks all the boxes for me to love it.

I don't think I can have too much Cyclone Gear, can I?

Big 12 Basketball - Tourney in KC

After watching the Cyclones' first game on Thursday over my lunch, and then seeing that Kansas lost {cheaper tickets for fans when they lose...} Tony and I decided to make the trip to KC earlier than planned to watch the second game vs. TCU on Friday night.

We put the StubHub app on my phone and got ourselves some tickets. We also arranged for 2 nights in our hotel instead of 1, and we were set.

We were in the 3rd row of the balcony, and loved our seats. They were affordable, and we had a great view and could spread out a bit. It was easily 75% Cyclone crowd for this game.  About halfway through the second half, and past the point of worrying about the jinx, we pulled up the StubHub app again and bought tickets for the championship game. We stayed for the next one as well to see who the Cyclones would play in the championship. WV in the last 10 seconds!

We hit the Power & Light District after the game for a drink and snack. It was crowded with happy Cyclone fans having a great time!

Saturday night, after a stop at Kelly's Westport Inn {THE Cyclone bar in KC}, we picked up our tickets at a swanky hotel for the StubHub booth.

Our seats were a little higher, as was the percentage of Cyclone fans in the Sprint Center. It was easily 90/10 in favor of Iowa State!

BIG 12 TOURNEY CHAMPS!

Power & Light after the game!

Work It Wednesday

March 1! Where has the time gone this year?! I feel like the calendar just turned to 2017, and now it's almost time to turn our clocks forward. It will be a welcome change to be lighter in the evenings and hopefully warmer too.

It's been busy y'all. I took some time off at work to be able to spend some time with the kids for various conferences, and music class observations. I was able to pick up this cutie from school and walk home. It has been so unseasonably warm for February that I am afraid March is going to be terrible. Tell me it isn't so!

I texted this picture to my mom on Saturday asking which boot to wear. I got sidetracked and about walked out of the house with 1 of each on. I ended up going with the black. They are the comfiest boot from Target that I love! The Iowa State shirt is from the little boutique near my office that I visit entirely too often.

Work has also been really busy lately, and that is a great thing. I just love my job. This is a custom home that is just about done being painted. I can't wait to get in there to see it all pretty and ready for granite, light fixtures, appliances, etc.

Custom built in's for the lower level family room.

A reading nook for the grandchildren under the stairs.

Obviously I do a lot more for work, but there are not such fun photos that accompany those tasks. Pricing out finish options just doesn't photograph as well! LOL. Life as a designer is a lot more paperwork than you are lead to believe, let me tell ya.
